Comedy Songs

My old man’s a dustman

This is the first comedy song I ever heard on the radio, when I was a teenager. I wanted to buy the record, but my Dad got very upset and said I couldn’t. He was English, and I guess it made him feel bad.

I lost my Mummy

This is Rolf Harris with Australian humour. I heard this record on the radio when I was young.

The Bird

Jerry Reed has this interesting yarn about a bird that sings.

I’m my own Grandpa

I’ve heard this number on the radio, and thought it was far fetched, but interesting.

Side by side

Here is George Younce singing different words to this popular number.

Mississippi squirrel revival

Someone sent me this to my email.

Saginaw Michigan

George Jones tells the story of the greedy father-in-law.

Things you don’t say to your wife

Tim Hawkins gives us some wise advice.

I also have a Gospel web site. If you want to check it out, go to:  http://countrygospelandbible.com/
