I have about 50 Favourite Romantic Love Songs, and I will list some of them here. Most of these I know off by heart, but I might slip up on a few words here and there. Sometimes I change words to suit myself.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re the nearest thing to heaven<\/a><\/p>\n Some girls are stunningly beautiful, and this songs gives an insight into how important the girl is to the guy. \u201cI\u2019ve sailed the peaceful waters of the oceans deep and blue. I\u2019ve held my breath and watched the western sunset\u2019s golden hue. I\u2019ve flown above the mountain tops, of valleys wide and green, but you\u2019re the nearest thing to heaven that I\u2019ve seen.\u201d<\/p>\n 2. Blue Hawaii<\/a><\/p>\n When I watched the movie, this song was used in the beginning, but it would have been very effective as a romantic scene with Elvis on the beach in the moonlight. \u201cNight and you, and Blue Hawaii, the night is heavenly, and you are heaven to me. Lovely you, and Blue Hawaii, with all this loveliness, there should be love.\u201d This is one of my favourite romantic love songs.<\/p>\n 3. Let the little bird fly<\/p>\n I can\u2019t find this song on the web, but I have a record of Charlie Rich singing it, and it brings back memories of the house we lived in when I was a teenager, and the sweet girl Margaret who lived down the street. \u201cShe came into my life one spring, swinging her doll on an old tire swing. She was just ten, and I\u2019d just turned thirteen.\u201d<\/p>\n 4. I love you because<\/a><\/p>\n I first heard this song by Jim Reeves, and I longed to find a girl who could understand me. My wife seems to understand me more than most people I have ever met. \u201cI love you because you understand dear, every single thing I try to do. You\u2019re always there to lend a helping hand dear, but most of all I love you \u2019cause you\u2019re you.\u201d<\/p>\n 5. One of my Favourite Romantic Love Songs \u2013 Kiss me quick<\/a><\/p>\n Elvis sang so many romantic numbers. \u201cKiss me quick, while we still have this feeling, hold me close, and never let me go, for tomorrows can be so uncertain, love can fly and leave just hurting, so kiss me quick, because I love you so.\u201d<\/p>\n 6. I won\u2019t forget you<\/a><\/p>\n Some people I have known, I can\u2019t forget. Each person is so special in their own particular way. \u201cI know that I won\u2019t forget you, for I\u2019ve loved you too much for too long. Though you don\u2019t want me now, I\u2019ll still love you, till the breath in my body is gone.\u201d<\/p>\n 7. I\u2019ve enjoyed as much of this as I can stand<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cYou look lovelier tonight than I remember. I\u2019m so glad I got to see you once again.\u201d The beginning words in this song are so nice, but it gets a bit sad later on. It holds a lot of memories for me.<\/p>\n 8. Wooden Heart<\/a><\/p>\n I went through a big heartbreak with my mother, and this song took on a whole new meaning. \u201cCan\u2019t you see I love you? Please don\u2019t break my heart in two, that\u2019s not hard to do, \u2019cause I don\u2019t have a wooden heart. And if you say \u2018Goodbye\u2019 then I know that I will cry, maybe I would die, \u2019cause I don\u2019t have a wooden heart.\u201d<\/p>\n 9. Blueberry Hill<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI found my thrill, on Blueberry Hill, on Blueberry Hill, where I found you. The moon stood still, on Blueberry Hill, and it lingered until, my dreams came true.\u201d To be in the car, kissing in the moonlight on the hill, is so exciting. I still sing this in my mind so I guess it is one of my favourite romantic love songs.<\/p>\n 10. Teddy Bear<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cBaby let me be, your loving Teddy Bear, put a chain around my neck and lead me anywhere, oh let me be, your Teddy Bear. Baby let me be, \u2019round you every night , run your fingers through my hair , and cuddle up me real tight, oh let me be, your Teddy Bear.\u201d I always wanted a girl to run her fingers through my hair.<\/p>\n 11. You belong to my heart<\/a><\/p>\n When I was young, this song seemed so fantastic, that a girl could blow a kiss with her eyes. When the girl in your arms<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cWhen the girl in your arms, is the girl in your heart, then you have everything.\u201d One time by the fireside in our garden, my brother in law requested for me to sing this song. There is a lot of truth to the words.<\/p>\n 21. You\u2019re my best friend<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cYou placed gold on my finger, you brought love, like I\u2019ve never known. You gave life to our children, and to me, a reason to go on.\u201d Everyone needs a friend and a partner, or else life is not complete. A favourite romantic love song.<\/p>\n 22. Wolverton Mountain<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cHer tender lips are sweeter than honey.\u201d This was another hit when I was a kid, and it seemed so exciting. Someone had a video on the internet with beautiful pictures depicting each scene of the song, but it was taken off. Pity.<\/p>\n 23. Lucky lips<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cLucky lips are always kissing, lucky lips are never blue.\u201d Cliff Richard had a big hit with this one, and we all wished we could be as lucky as him.<\/p>\n 24. Traveling light<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI just can\u2019t wait to be with my baby tonight.\u201d This one takes me back to traveling down on the South Coast of Natal. Somebody said once that the road to a friend\u2019s house is never long.<\/p>\n 25. Save the last dance for me<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cBut don\u2019t forget who\u2019s taking you home and in who\u2019s arms you\u2019re gonna be, so Darling save the last dance for me.\u201d At my girlfriend\u2019s party, I was playing guitar and singing in the band, while she was dancing with another guy. It would be so sweet when all alone I\u2019m dreaming, just to know that you still remember me.\u201d I associate this number with a farm in Africa, where it feels so lonely and isolated. I heard Charles Jacobie sing it when I lived in Rhodesia.<\/p>\n 30. Somebody loves you<\/p>\n \u201cSomebody loves you each hour of the day, when you\u2019re around dear or when you\u2019re away.\u201d My wife sang this to me. Very beautiful words. Unfortunately I couldn\u2019t find it on the net.<\/p>\n 31.
