I chose this one because it has nice pictures. Doing this section of favourite love songs by Andy Williams, the first song that comes to my mind is Moon River. I heard this one when I was a teenager in Bulawayo. \u00a0It is amazing how songs travel all over the world. There are no border crossings. No custom officials, no baggage search!<\/p>\n

2. Let it be me with Claudine\u00a0 Longet<\/a><\/p>\n

Andy was married to Claudine for a number of years. He met her at the side of the road in Las Vegas, where she had pulled over with car troubles.<\/p>\n

3. A fool never learns<\/a><\/p>\n

Fools get lonely too.<\/p>\n

4. Butterfly<\/a><\/p>\n

I heard this one on the radio when I was a teenager, but at the time I didn’t realize it was Andy Williams.<\/p>\n

5. Do-Re-Mi with Eddie Fisher and Bobby Darrin<\/a><\/p>\n

So many of these famous people have met and sung together.<\/p>\n

6. I like your kind of love with Peggy Powers<\/a><\/p>\n

I heard this one on the radio a couple of years ago. Fascinating.<\/p>\n

7. Dear Heart<\/a><\/p>\n

“Dear Heart, wish you were here to warm this night…”<\/p>\n

8. Reason to believe<\/a><\/p>\n

Nice sea scenes.<\/p>\n

9. I can\u2019t stop loving you – my favourite love song “live” performance by Andy Williams<\/a><\/p>\n

Wow. This performance is spectacular. I love the way he sort of waltzes across the stage. \u00a0Fantastic orchestra too.<\/p>\n

10. Somewhere my love<\/a><\/p>\n

When I was young I saw Julie Christie in a movie called: “Far from the maddening crowd.”<\/p>\n

11. Watch what happens with Connie Francis<\/a><\/p>\n

So nice to see these two together.<\/p>\n

12. Language of love with Julie Andrews<\/a><\/p>\n

Julie Andrews is such a lady.<\/p>\n

13. Unchained melody<\/a><\/p>\n

Nice scenery.<\/p>\n

14. Can\u2019t smile without you<\/a><\/p>\n

This is fantastic. Gives a glimpse of what it is like to be a Big pop star. Lots of women want to kiss him!<\/p>\n

15. Walk hand in hand (with me)<\/a><\/p>\n

Very nice.<\/p>\n

16. It\u2019s all in the game<\/a><\/p>\n

I first heard this one sung by Cliff Richard.<\/p>\n

17. Near you<\/a><\/p>\n

Nice boogie woogie piano.<\/p>\n

18. My happiness<\/a><\/p>\n

Another one of my favourite old love songs. I have a tape of Connie Francis singing this one.<\/p>\n

19. Sail along silv\u2019ry moon<\/a><\/p>\n

I heard Slim Whitman do this number before.<\/p>\n

20. People will say we\u2019re in love<\/a><\/p>\n

This looks like it is from the Oklahoma movie.<\/p>\n

21. Love letters in the sand<\/a><\/p>\n

A big hit for Pat Boone.<\/p>\n

22. You are my sunshine<\/a><\/p>\n

At the old age homes where I have sung, this is one of the most requested songs.<\/p>\n

23. You\u2019ve got a friend<\/a><\/p>\n

Good words. It is hard to find good friends.<\/p>\n

24. I walk the line\/Folsom Prison Blues with Johnny Cash<\/a><\/p>\n

He says he has all of Johnny Cash’s records!<\/p>\n

25. Treat her rough with Pat Boone and Elke Sommer<\/a><\/p>\n

Funny humour here. Well done old chap!<\/p>\n

26. Don\u2019t fence me in with Bing Crosby<\/a><\/p>\n

It is amazing how Andy Williams’ career has spanned so many decades, to even include Bing Crosby.<\/p>\n

27. Wrap your troubles in dreams with Tony Bennett<\/a><\/p>\n

What a wonderful rapport.<\/p>\n

28. What’d I say with Ray Charles<\/a><\/p>\n

Wonderful to see the interaction between these two megastars.<\/p>\n

29. Can\u2019t take my eyes off you<\/a><\/p>\n

Too many pretty girls!<\/p>\n

30. Blueberry Hill<\/a><\/p>\n

Another one of my old time favourite love songs.<\/p>\n

31. Blue Hawaii<\/a><\/p>\n

This\u00a0old favourite love\u00a0song still runs through my mind every now and then. I just wish one of these great singers would have done it in a video with the beautiful sea, the waves washing up on the beach, with the lovers walking hand in hand on the sand in the moonlight. It would be so romantic.<\/p>\n

32. Beyond the reef<\/a><\/p>\n

Sad, but beautiful. I have the record, but it is so nice to see it in pictures.<\/p>\n

33. Stranger on the shore<\/a><\/p>\n

This was a big musical hit for Acker Bilk when I was a teenager, but it is so nice now to hear the words of the song.<\/p>\n

34. Music from across the way<\/a><\/p>\n

35. Softly as I leave you<\/a><\/p>\n

I heard Elvis Presley say that a man wrote this song while he was dying in a hospital bed. He didn’t want his wife to see him die.<\/p>\n

36. May each day<\/a><\/p>\n

Lovely words. Going through all these songs has been quite a journey.<\/p>\n

37. The Lord\u2019s Prayer<\/a><\/p>\n

My wife says we should be saying the Lord’s prayer every day.<\/p>\n

38. Amazing grace<\/a><\/p>\n

“When we’ve been there ten thousand years.” I hope Mr. Williams made it through the pearly gates.<\/p>\n
