1.\u00a0The baptism of Jesse Taylor<\/a><\/p>\n

This is one of my favorite love songs when it comes to Country Gospel. I first heard this song back in 1976, when we were visiting in Virginia, USA. I heard this it on somebody\u2019s car radio, and loved it. Back in South Africa, I found it in a record store in Hillbrow, sung by Connie Smith, so I bought it, and sang it. It means a lot to me. I have met some people in South Africa who were like Jesse Taylor, and whose lives have been changed by faith in Jesus.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Why me Lord<\/a><\/p>\n

Back in the 70\u2032s I sang at a high school in Roodepoort, and a schoolboy lent me this record, which I sang quite often.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0The Fourth Man<\/a><\/p>\n

I had a record of Johnny Cash singing this song. In Germiston we had a big yard at one house where we stayed, and we used to make a fire in the garden, and sit around it singing. I often used to start with this song as we sat staring at the fire.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0The Old Account<\/a><\/p>\n

I used to sing this song a lot when I was young. As I listened a bit to this song again today, The Lord is speaking to my heart. If God is willing to settle our accounts, we too must be willing to settle other people’s accounts.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0Wouldn\u2019t take nothing for my journey now<\/a><\/p>\n

I heard this song back in the 60\u2032s by Jimmy Swaggart, and am so pleased to find it here by The Goodmans.<\/p>\n
