Comedy

Snackman

I am putting this in the comedy section because I found this man so funny. This guy is a hero who helped break up a fight on the subway, and when he is asked by the lady on the TV show about girls wanting to date him, he says it is school girls and somebody’s grandmother.

The Pail – Carol Burnett

Jan. 2. 2012. I just finished reading a book by Carol where she mentioned this show, so I found it on the net. I laughed so much. So I want to share it with you. Many people have problems that stem from things that have happened in their childhood. I have a lot of problems that stem from my adult life too. I think it is good therapy to watch a show like this.

Went with the wind part 1 – Carol Burnett

I used to watch her on TV in Canada back in the eighties, and always found her very funny and talented.

Went with the wind part 2 – Carol Burnett

Here is the conclusion. Hope you enjoy it.

Woody Allen – The Moose

I heard this story some years back, but forgot to put in on my site. Last night I saw Woody’s face on TV so here it is. He says you are not allowed to carry a ‘live’ moose on your car fender in New York State on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. When I told my children the story, they told me that there are some weird laws in the States, so I checked one which said that in Arizona, you are not allowed to let your donkey sleep in the bath!

Comedy of Nutty Walt

Back in the 60′s a boss at work in Bulawayo, told me of a story he heard on the radio about Sir Walter Raleigh trying to explain about smoking to the people in England. Then a few years ago I heard a little bit of it on the radio. Fortunately I have found it on the internet now, and would like to share it with you. I don’t know if this man is the original performer or not, but it is very interesting.

Men’s and women’s brains

I heard this story a year or two ago on the radio (am740.ca). The guy explains how men’s brains are made up of boxes, and how women’s brains differ. It is very funny.

Four Old Ladies beat man in Texas

Some years back I heard this story on the radio (am740.ca) about a guy who was late for work, and called in to the office to explain. His message was picked up on the answering machine. Then he saw a car accident right in front of him and he tells of what transpires while he sees it. The people loved the story so much that they kept calling the radio station to hear the story over and over again. It is very funny.

Phone call from God

We heard this record on the radio when we first visited America back in 1976, and we bought the record by Jerry Jordan. It is amazing sometimes how a person can bring across messages through comedy. In fact, we bought some ventriloquist dolls and puppets in Akron Ohio, and we used comedy all over southern Africa to bring across gospel messages.

I also have a Gospel web site. If you want to check it out, go to:  http://countrygospelandbible.com/
