Jim Reeves 2 – Favourite Love Songs

scan0002.fixed.crop4.JPEG

Today as I played some Jim Reeves songs, I enjoyed them so much that I want to share them with you. Some are old ones with new pictures and arrangements, and some are songs I have never heard before.

1. I can’t stop loving you

This is still one of my favourite love songs, and I like this new arrangement.

2. I love you because

Another one of my all time favourite love songs.

3. Make the world go away

4. The Blue Canadian Rockies

I don’t know if Jim Reeves was ever in the Rockies, but I have been, and it feels good.

5. Railroad bum

When I was a teenager, I loved singing this song. I changed the words to fit in with the part of the world I was in. It was one of my favourite love songs. Not a love for a girl, but the love of being free and alive!

6. Dark moon

There is something about a moon that brings feelings of romance and love. This is still one of my favourite love songs.

7. There’s always me

8. There’s that smile again

9. Maureen

10. White cliffs of Dover

It is so nice to know the war is over. I was born in England, just after the Second World War.

11. Good morning self

12. Throw another log on the fire

I love sit by the fire.

13. The old Kalahari

There is something so beautiful about a desert.

14. Old Tige – A favourite love song

I get chills all over my body when I sing this song.

15. Where do I go to throw a picture away

16. I guess I’m crazy

I love the bass on this song. When I play piano, I use those three notes with my left hand because of this song.

17. The world you left behind

18. Could I be falling in love

19. It’s nothing to me

Some wise advice. When I was a teenager listening to Jim Reeves, it felt like he was my dad, giving me lessons in living.

20. The gun

Today was the first time I ever heard this song, and I cried. So I played it again, and cried again. It has been many years since I cried over a song.

21. When I lost you

22. You’ll never know

23. Why do I love you (Melody of love)

I love the words of this song. They have so much meaning to me.

24. Before I died

At least I lived a little while, before I died. I was so sorry when Jim Reeves died, but I feel he has made my life richer because of his singing. He has left us such a lot of lovely songs. Thank you to the people who make all these videos with all the lovely pictures.

25. After loving you

26. Read this letter

27. My happiness

28. Everywhere you go

29. He will

God will lead you.

30. The night watch

Somebody loves you and is watching over you tonight.

31. My hands are clean

I just found this song the other day, and I had never heard it before. He sings so nice.

32. Plane crash

33. Jim Reeves tribute – with Mary Reeves and Jim Ed Brown

34. J.R. tribute – Jim Ed Brown and other country singers

35. Jim Ed Brown – tribute – salute to the Opry
