Today’s Singers

My favorites of ‘Today’s Singers’ include: Susan Boyle, Taylor Swift and Michael Buble.

Susan Boyle – First Audition

I still get chills every time I watch this video. When you click on it, wait for it to load, or it will take you somewhere else. To me, this audition is stunning. The judges’ reaction, and the people’s response are amazing. She is one of the most popular of today’s singers and I think she will be popular for some time to come. There is an old saying that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. In the Bible, God told the prophet Samuel that man looks on the outside, but God looks on the heart. That was when he was sent to anoint David as king. 1 Samuel 16,7. So many times in my life I have seen people judging and criticizing other people by their appearances, and it is so wrong.

Michael Buble – Haven’t met you yet

This video is based on a dream where he meets this beautiful girl in a supermarket. I love the ending where he is at the till, and is still caught up in the dream. Apparently she is from Argentina, and is currently his new girl friend. I heard one rumour that they were now married, but I am not sure. So like Taylor Swift, this video is also based on a dream. Susan Boyle sang about a dream. It seems like all these songs seem to tie in together. I often listen to a radio station (am740) out of Toronto (Canada), and they claim that they were the first station to start playing Michael Buble. They say you can hear them on the web at: zoomerradio.ca

The Chain of Love

I had the song on here by Clay Walker, but it got taken off the net, so I have replaced it with Charley Pride. I heard this song a few years ago, but I had never heard the name Clay Walker before, but apparently he is one of the most popular of today’s singers in the country music world. I just found this song now on the internet, so I want to share it with you. To me this is one of the most beautiful songs of love and caring. This morning I was telling my wife how I was looking for this song, and described the story. As I did, I got all choked up and started almost to cry. The story means so much to me. Many years ago I worked at a motel in Niagara Falls, and coming home in the early hours of the morning I often found people in trouble, and would stop and help them.

Chorus Niagara Flash Mob

On November 13. 2010, a group called Chorus Niagara sang at our local mall, and surprised the people eating at the food court. Over 33 million people have already watched it. Wow. They are having concerts all around our area. In the mall there is a sign saving it is the most famous food court in the world!

Today’s singers – Justin Bieber

The other day on the radio, I heard Justin on a comedy slot, and it was very interesting. The girls scream for him when he says: “Stir it baby.” It reminded me of the old Beatle days. Here he is singing for the President.

Charlotte and Jonathan – Britain’s got talent

A friend posted this on facebook, and it is very encouraging for singers. If you have ever been mocked and put down, watch this.

Emmanuel – Australia’s got talent

I got this too from a friend’s facebook page. This guy is an orphan from Iraq, with no arms. If you think you have had a hard life, watch this.

I also have a Gospel web site. If you want to check it out, go to:  http://countrygospelandbible.com/
